Model Boot Camp

The idea for model boot camp originally spawned from the popular TV show "Top Model", thinking what a fantastic opportunity it would be for anyone who wanted to do something like that; to have the chance. We Take girls from ages 9 - 109, and of all body types and teach them the little tricks of the trade, natural pose, to high fashion pose, projecting emotion through their photographs and take amazing photos while we're at it!

Each Camp includes 5 photo shoots:

• Runs on a Sat and Sunday
• hair and make up for 2 of the photo shoots for at least to of the shoots.
• Girls get an 8x10 of each session plus a CD and Copy Rights to all pictures taken.

Tuition: $750

Art Courses

In The Studio will be offering art classes that give your child a chance to work with many different types of Art. Each class we will concentrate on one form and produce one final masterpiece. Photo's of your children learning at the classes will be taken and sent home at the last class along with your child's work. For our last class you will receive an invitation to view your child's hard work with any family members who would like to come. Juice and cheese will be served and we will be wearing our dress up cloths for further photo's of your child's big moment.

We supply with all materials needed to produce all forms of art we teach. We have art isles for each child to use and a comfortable work environment. Every child will be encouraged to complete their projects however a no pressure, have fun is our moto. It will be stressed throughout the program that art is not perfection. I will introduce abstract art the first class to get them thinking outside the lines.

Expect your child to get messy! I encourage a very hands on experience with children and Art. Art has been proven it helps children release anxiety and burn off excess energy. I introduced Art therapy into my own children's life as a tool for Autism. It was very effective and worked great in the evenings to wind down into a more relaxed state. Some children don't like sports but still need to feel like they are good at an activity outside of school. I aim to provide a self confidence boost for all the children as I did with the Art therapy.

Due to the cost of supplies and photos the cost of the 6 week program is $250 per child. Siblings pay $250 for the first child and $175 for the second.

Classes run about 2hrs long depending on the size of group and age of the children. An extra class may be added if children need additional time to complete projects, at no extra charge to parents.

Parents are asked not to take sneak peeks at projects unless your child insists. We will be encouraging children to save all work for the art Exhibition.

Paint and other materials may come home on your child's clothes that don't wash out completely. Socks are to be worn inside the studio and shoes left at the door.

Parents who want to stay are asked to remain in the Gallery while classes take place in the studio.

Age groups may change and start dates may have to change due to the amount of child who sign up to a program.

Self Empowerment

A brief bit on the Self Empowerment course, it is a group that runs aprox 6 weeks at one evening a week for aprox 2hrs. It sometimes depends on the number of women taking part in the group and how much the group talks. If we get a good group then it tends to run longer to get the material in.

We learn what Self Empowerment means and how it comes in different forms. We look at ourselves and see where we are with our own self esteem. Never putting anyone on the spot. You never have to share if you don't want to. Because its so fun, I've never had any girls not take part. We have a evening of self photography, one on one with me. Learning to love what we see in the mirror. We have an evening of abstract art painting to release emotions. We do a Vision board of things we want to see in our futures. We do a poem of ourselves towards the end. These are a few of the things we work on. All materials are provided. Photos will be given to each client. Paintings go home the last day with everything else. Everything you do at the classes are yours to keep. What is important about the course is that we learn that we can give ourselves empowerment, without anybody else's input.

It's even a great bonding class for Mom's and Daughters and a great way to get back in touch with your inner self.

Making a Mess Class

Designed for younger children, a class on Sat mornings from 11:00 to 12:00pm. Lots of fun and lots of mess. Parents are asked to call to book a spot prior to the Sat. Any questions please contact me.
